Now, a Register Just for Laminate Floors

The Chameleon Laminate Register is used with laminate floors and accommodates laminate material that is 7 mm and 8 mm thick as well as 12 mm thick. You must specify which thickness when ordering. Made of sturdy aircraft-grade aluminum, Chameleon Laminate Registers are built as one piece.

Laminate registers are not affixed to the subflooring but are designed to float when installed in laminate flooring. That’s because laminate flooring expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity.

To install the register, the installer cuts pieces of the surrounding floor with a power saw and glues them into the register’s channels with clear silicone caulk.

If access to the vent opening is necessary, the entire register can be removed. Dampers are not available with laminate registers. For standard register sizes, see below.
